Lev Pustilnik

Emeritus professor

Lev Pustilnik

Dr. Lev Pustilnik is a retired professor at TAU, a specialist in plasma astrophysics, space physics, cosmic rays and energetic particles, radiation safety, the impact of space weather on the terrestrial climate and agriculture efficiency. The Hermon Observatory of cosmic rays on Mount Hermon (a project of Prof. Yuval Neeman and Prof. Lev Dorman) has been maintained for more than 20 years owing to Lev's efforts.

Dr. Yuval Reuveni, with 15+ years in upper atmospheric electromagnetic wave propagation, leads the Ariel University's Remote Sensing Lab and the Department of Geophysics. His expertise spans Earth observation technologies, GPS, InSAR, and multispectral data integration. Leading geodynamic studies, he enhances Israel's GPS network, gamma ray detectors, and ULF magnetic sensors. Dr. Reuveni's research focuses on tectonic motions, crustal deformations, and earthquake studies. He also conducts gamma ray measurements, atmospheric electric field studies, and UAV balloon experiments.

Leon Ofman

Professor

Leon

Prof. Leon Ofman holds the position of Research Professor at Catholic University of America (CUA), a researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and a Visiting Professor at TAU, where he brings his extensive expertise to the forefront of solar physics. With a focus on solar plasma physics, Prof. Ofman delves into the intricacies of Magnetohydrodynamics, exploring the behavior of waves and kinetic processes that play a crucial role in understanding coronal heating and the acceleration of solar wind. His multifaceted research contributes significantly to unraveling the complexities of the solar dynamic processes, enriching the field of solar physics at CUA, NASA, and TAU.

Lev Eppelbaum

Principal Research Associate Lev Eppelbaum, Honorary Professor of the Azerbaijan State Oil & Industry University, is an expert in advanced geophysical data processing and interpretation, focusing on potential geophysical data analysis under complex physical-geological environments. His interests cover geodynamic and seismotectonic pattern studies and tectonic reconstructions, and his skills extend to archaeological geophysics, earthquake precursor investigations, and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits. Experienced in 3D gravity-magnetic modeling and analyzing past climate through borehole thermal data, he also excels in regional paleomagnetic reconstructions and marine geophysics.
